Used Jet Skis vs Craigslist — inspection checklist

Private listings (Craigslist and similar) can look cheaper. A dealer-inspected used Jet Ski or WaveRunner is about risk reduction. Before you buy anywhere, ask these questions — and know that units we list are multi-point inspected first:

• Hours / use history — High hours or unknown use change maintenance needs
• Freshwater vs salt / brackish history — Affects corrosion and cooling care
• Compression / running condition — Catch issues before you trailer home
• Impeller / jet pump condition — Debris damage and wear show up here
• Hull, caps, and storage — Cracks, soft spots, missing covers
• Battery, fluids, belts / service items — Cheap "ready to ride" claims often skip this
• Trailer bunks, lights, bearings (if included) — Package deals hide trailer problems
• Clean title / lien payoff — Avoid paperwork surprises
• Remaining factory warranty (if any) — Ask — don't assume

We won't claim every used ski is "certified" unless a specific CPO / limited-warranty program applies to that unit. Ask your salesperson what's covered on the ski you're looking at.
